FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Pleasant Valley Water District is conducting a Special election to fill four vacancies on its Board of Directors. Three of the vacancies are for four-year terms, and one vacancy is for a two-year term. The election will be held on August 20, 2024. To be qualified, a candidate must be over the age of 18 years and either a holder of title to land within the District or the legal representative of a holder of title to land within the District. If a corporation holds title to land, the president of the corporation or persons selected by resolution of its board of directors filed with the District are qualified.

Official declaration of candidacy forms for eligible candidates desiring to file for any of the elective offices may be obtained from the District at the Districts website: https://pleasantvalleywaterdistrict.com/about/board-of-directors/. The forms are available commencing April 29, 2024 and must be filed with the Board of the District via email at [email protected] no later than May 24, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Appointment to each elective office will be made as prescribed by Section 10515 of the Elections Code in the event there are no nominees or an insufficient number of nominees for such office and a petition for an election is not filed within the time period prescribed by Section 10515 of the Elections Code.
